## Who are we?
**Authentify It** is building an **intelligence operating system for physical products**. Its mission is to make product authentication simple, accessible, and trustworthy in a world where counterfeiting and certification complexity are growing challenges.
Today, certifying the authenticity of a physical object is often a **complex, time-consuming, and costly process**. When the creator or manufacturer is no longer available, the difficulty increases: the certification typically requires the intervention of an accredited expert. This expert, who has received special recognition for a given category of objects, must be paid to deliver a paper-based certificate. While this process is well-intentioned, it is far from foolproof. Experienced forgers are capable of deceiving experts, leading to certificates that may be inaccurate or manipulated.
Even for more **mainstream products**, counterfeiting remains a widespread issue—particularly in industries such as fashion, luxury goods, and consumer products. This undermines brand trust, erodes revenues, and exposes customers to fraudulent items.
**Authentify It aims to address these challenges with a technological and scalable solution.**\
Brands that wish to make their products certifiable in a secure and accessible way will be able to do so through the Authentify service. Once a brand has successfully passed **KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) verification**, Authentify provides a **digital certification** that guarantees authenticity. From that point forward, the product cannot be counterfeited through traditional means.
The process involves embedding **NFC chips** (among other identifiers) into certified products. When scanned by an end-user, these chips allow instant retrieval of the **corresponding certificate of authenticity**. To ensure that this certificate is **immutable, tamper-proof, and globally verifiable**, Authentify leverages **blockchain technology** as the underlying infrastructure.
This combination of **identity verification, physical NFC integration, and blockchain immutability** creates a robust and future-proof solution to the global issue of counterfeiting.
